hidden systems by dan nott

Picked this up on a whim at the library and really enjoyed it! Dan Nott does a great job of explaining complex ideas, using comics to his advantage. I read this at the same time as taking an environmental sociology class, which paired very nicely with some of the topics we were already talking about in the course (development patterns, electricity, water usage, etc). I learned a lot about the history of these really intriguing systems – if you’ve ever wondered about how the internet actually works, I highly recommend reading this. There were a few places where I wished there was maybe a little more in-depth information, but overall a great, very digestible read!
